· Special issuearticlesmust have the sameeditorial oversight asregular papers, including externalpeer review,and be clearlylabelled
· Journalsmust ensurethatguesteditors’credentials are checked and approved
· The Editor-in-Chief or dedicated boardmembersmust oversee the guesteditors
· Paperssubmittedto aspecial issue bythe guesteditor(s)mustbe handledunder an independent review processand make upno morethan 25% oftheissue's total”
